My Story…

I am a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).  An athletic lifestyle has always been a central aspect of my life.  At four years of age, up until high school, I was a ballerina which required strength, balance, control and flexibility.  In high school, I became very passionate about horses and pursued this desire with competitive equestrian jumping.  I continued throughout my teenage years and early twenties competing at jumper circuits all over the West Coast.  While competing, I found myself very unhappy with my appearance and how my clothes were fitting.

While working as an accounting specialist for International Gaming Technology (IGT), I befriended a fellow coworker that enjoyed running during her lunch. Deep down inside I knew that in order to feel better about myself I needed to start somewhere.  I started running during my lunch break a couple days a week and immediately started to see a difference in my energy, appearance and overall happiness.  I successfully ran in the Reno Tahoe Odyssey (RTO) placing 5th in the open mixed division out of 100 teams in 2012.

Shortly after completing the RTO, I attended a local bodybuilding show called Nevada State at the Grand Sierra Resort. On that faithful day in June of 2012, I became even more inspired to make a change..

I was immediately mesmerized by the effort each bodybuilder put into his/her body and I wanted to take my body to the next level.  The next day I started my 12 week show preparation for the Tahoe Show Bodybuilding Competition.  I successfully placed 1st in Figure C Class and it was one of the happiest moments of my life.

That fall I decided to go into off season to build more muscle for the following spring to compete in another bodybuilding show.  Simultaneously, I trained for my first powerlifting meet in Modesto, CA in that December.  I placed 3rd in my weight class and it made me feel very accomplished with the strength I demonstrated.

Shortly after the powerlifting meet, it was “go time”; time to dial my diet back in, to get ready for my next bodybuilding show.  I competed at the Contra Costa Bodybuilding Show in Hayward, CA in May of 2013, and placed 4th out of 15 competitors.  I then went to the NV State Bodybuilding Show at the Grand Sierra Resort in June 2013 placing 1st out of 17 competitors.

During the Fall of 2013, I decided to give myself another off season to prepare for the Governor’s Cup Bodybuilding Show in Sacramento, CA.

After competing and placing 3rd at the Governor’s Cup I decided to start helping others with their fitness goals. My main focus is to help people not only with their health fitness goals, but also with their overall sense of empowerment and well-being. My goal is to motivate, inspire, and coach my clients.  It’s very fulfilling and rewarding for me to see people achieve their goals and dreams.
